Sometimes, I do something meaningless

Do you often look for meaning and value in what you do?

I admit the benefits of understanding the value of each and every thing I do is great, it creates motivation as well as helps make better choices.

But with it comes pressure.

Sometimes, I decide to throw away the "meaning" of work. Because in order to find this meaning, I have to spend more of my rationality, which is really not needed. In fact, intuitions are not to be ignored. They represent data processed too fast for the conscious mind to comprehend.

I just do it, as long as my gut tells "this is the right thing to do" without needing to explain.

Pencil Philosophy is a philosophical project founded by former students of Stanford University and Columbia University.

My contributions:

Managed content for monthly philosophy seminars of a group of 10 - 15 students (1/3 of total members) according to the liberal education model.
Facilitated quarterly philosophy sharing events with experts in tech, cinema and literature; funded by the US Embassy in Hanoi, the American Center and EducationUSA.

Global Volunteering Day 2018 - Inequality: In or Out? - Created a space for cultural exchanges between 1,000 Vietnamese youths and volunteers from 30 countries worldwide, thereby contributing to raising the youth’s awareness on social issues.
The revenue received from fundraising events was used to build a primary school in Lai Chau - mountainous northern Vietnam.

All the donations and proceeds were used to launch a charity program supporting more than 300 child patients at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
